Description
This new 2027 Peterbilt 567 day cab is a vocational tractor spec'd for construction end dump work on and off the highway. It runs a Cummins X15 Performance Series making 525 hp and 1,850 lb-ft of torque, paired with an Eaton Endurant XD Pro 18-speed automated transmission that has an off-road shift calibration and Rock Free Mode. It sits on a 220" wheelbase with a 13,200 lb Dana Spicer front axle, Dana Spicer DSH40 40,000 lb rears at a 3.70 ratio with tandem diff locks, and Peterbilt Low Air Leaf suspension. Meritor air disc brakes on every axle, Bendix ESP stability control and a Jacobs engine brake keep it under control when loaded. A Holland no-tilt fifth wheel on a 30" air slide, an electric dump switch wired for the trailer tailgate and a dash-mounted PTO control mean it's ready to pull an end dump right away. The Phantom Gray metallic paint, 7" chrome stacks, polished tanks and stainless visor give it a sharp look, and the cab has a premium leather LX driver's seat and a 15" digital dash. It's covered by Peterbilt's Class 8 Standard Coverage for 1 year/100,000 miles, plus a 5-year/350,000-mile base emissions warranty on the Cummins X15.
The 2027 Peterbilt 567 day cab tractor is built for construction dump service on and off the highway. It's spec'd to pull a 53' semi-end dump trailer at up to 80,000 lbs GCW, with a GVWR of 53,200 lbs. The 121" BBC aluminum cab has a Metton hood, a set-forward front axle, a stainless crown and grille and a tilt assist, all finished in Axalta Phantom Gray metallic over a black frame.
Power comes from a Cummins X15 Performance Series engine (2024 emissions) rated at 525 hp at 1,900 rpm and 1,850 lb-ft of torque at 1,000 rpm. It's CARB compliant and has a Jacobs compression brake, predictive cruise control, a 2-speed fan clutch built for frequent starts and stops, a high-efficiency cooling system, an immersion block heater and fuel filter heat. The Eaton Endurant XD Pro 18-speed automated transmission uses a right-hand column shifter, a performance shift calibration, a second off-road shift calibration and a Rock Free Mode dash switch, and it has an oil-to-water transmission cooler. Exhaust is a dual system with a left-hand stack look and the DPF/SCR mounted under the right side of the cab. It finishes in 7" chrome standpipes with 45-degree curved tips.
The chassis rides on a 220" wheelbase with 10-5/8" steel frame rails (5/16" thick) that are zinc coated against corrosion and use aluminum crossmembers. Up front is a Dana Spicer E1322IL 13,200 lb wide-track axle with taper leaf springs, Tenneco shocks and Sheppard HD94 power steering. The rear is a Dana Spicer DSH40 40,000 lb tandem at a 3.70 ratio with tandem diff locks (with speed interlock) and synthetic lube in all axles. It rides on Peterbilt Low Air Leaf 40,000 lb suspension with 52" axle spacing and a dash-mounted dump switch. Braking is handled by Meritor EX+ LS air disc brakes with severe-service rotors on all axles, plus Bendix ESP with automatic traction control, 6S6M ABS and tire pressure monitoring.
For trailer work, it has a Holland FW35 no-tilt convertible fifth wheel on a 30" Holland heavy-duty air slide, set at the bogie centerline with a height of 8.6" to 9.25". Other trailer features include a dash-mounted electric-over-air PTO control, an electric dump switch wired behind the cab for the trailer tailgate, a remote PTO/throttle provision in the engine bay and 12' coiled air and electric lines with dual 7-way plugs. It also has a Bendix AD-HF EP heated air dryer, an 18.7 CFM air compressor and polished aluminum air tanks with pull cords.
Fuel is carried in a 100-gallon aluminum tank on the left and a 110-gallon split aluminum tank on the right with 60 gallons of fuel capacity. Both are polished, with polished straps. A 24-gallon DEF tank with a polished stainless cover is mounted on the left. It rolls on Accuride 22.5 x 8.25 aluminum wheels with Accu-Armor and Accu-Shield finishes, Bridgestone R273 Ecopia 16-ply steer tires and Bridgestone M760 Ecopia 14-ply drive tires. Exterior touches include a chromed deep tapered steel bumper with two tow points, a stainless outside sun visor, braceless stainless quarter fenders, heated motorized aero mirrors with a bright finish, a look-down mirror, dual 23" roof-mounted air horns, a removable bugscreen, polished deck plate steps and projector headlights. Lighting also includes LED markers, daytime running lights, LED load lights and wiring for a beacon/strobe and auxiliary lights.
Inside, the Premier interior is done in Sterling Gray with rubber flooring, SmartSound and thermal insulation, and cab air suspension. The driver gets a Peterbilt LX premium high-back leather air-ride seat, and the passenger gets a Peterbilt ST high-back vinyl air-ride seat, both with armrests. The tilt/telescoping column has a multifunction steering wheel, and the cab has keyless entry, power windows and locks, and dark window tint. The 15" digital instrument cluster is backed up by bright-bezel gauges for both drive axle oil temps, engine oil temp, trailer reservoir air, air suspension pressure and fuel filter restriction. For audio and communication, there's a ConcertClass AM/FM/weatherband radio with Bluetooth, USB, four speakers and a Uniden CB with dual roof antennas. Other equipment includes four PACCAR batteries (2,920 CCA), a 160-amp alternator, a battery disconnect switch with low-voltage disconnect, global telematics hardware with a 5-year SmartLINQ remote diagnostics subscription, a 107 dB backup alarm and a fire extinguisher.
Warranty coverage includes Peterbilt Class 8 Standard Coverage for 1 year/100,000 miles and a 5-year/350,000-mile base emissions warranty on the Cummins X15 Performance Series engine (CARB operation).
