It is set up for hauling construction materials in on/off-highway service. It carries a 20' Heritage Steel Smooth Side end dump body and has an 85,000 lb GVWR, a 348" wheelbase and a 261.8" cab-to-axle. The cab, hood and fenders are Fire Red in two-stage Axalta metallic/pearl paint, and the frame is black. Engine & Drivetrain Power comes from a 2024-emissions PACCAR MX-13 Performance engine rated at 510 HP at 1,600 RPM with 1,850 lb-ft of torque at 1,000 RPM, governed at 2,200 RPM. The engine is CARB emission compliant and CARB idling compliant, and the engine idle shutdown timer is disabled. It also has a PACCAR compression brake with controls on the right-hand column, engine monitoring protection with derate, and a powertrain optimized for performance at a typical operating speed of 65 MPH. The Allison 4500 RDS-P Gen 6 Rugged Duty Series transmission runs in a 6-speed configuration with a TC-571 torque converter and a dash-mounted push-button shifter. It shifts to neutral automatically when the parking brake is set and at stops. The main driveline is an 1810 HD with three midship bearings and 4.5" x .180 wall tubing, and a 1710 interaxle driveline serves the tandem. Rear axle ratio is 4.10. PTO equipment includes a dash-mounted single-acting electric-over-hydraulic PTO control, PTO mode control from the cab station, and a 12-pin remote PTO/throttle provision in the engine bay. Supporting equipment includes a PACCAR 160-amp brushed alternator, a PACCAR premium starter, three PACCAR premium 12V dual-purpose batteries (2,190 CCA) with a low voltage disconnect system, and a 110–120V immersion-type block heater. The cooling and air side has a high-efficiency cooling system, a 2-speed fan clutch for frequent start/stops and a WABCO 37.4 CFM air compressor. Fuel and intake filtration comes from an on-engine PACCAR fuel/water separator with an extended service interval, dual self-cleaning under-hood pre-cleaners and a firewall-mounted air cleaner. The exhaust is a dual SOC setup, with a left-hand SOC stack and the DPF/SCR in a single module under the cab on the right-hand side. It exits through a 36" chrome-plated steel standpipe with clear coat and a 45-degree cut curved tip. Chassis & Axles The front axle is a PACCAR FX-20 steer axle rated at 20,000 lbs with a 4" drop and wide track. It uses Sheppard HD94 dual-gear power steering with a frame-mounted reservoir and cooler. At the rear is a Dana Spicer D46-172 tandem rated at 46,000 lbs, with heavy-wall drive axles and a tandem differential lock with speed interlock. Four Watson-Chalin SL10 self-steering pusher axles are rated at 10,000 lbs each, with dust shields, four air tanks, 8-stud iron hubs and cast drums. They are spaced 42", 84", 126" and 170" from the centerline of the forward drive axle. A crossmember-mounted lift axle regulator is controlled by a switch and gauge in the dash. Engineering-assigned ratings are a GVWR of 85,000 lbs, a front GAWR of 19,840 lbs, a rear GAWR of 23,000 lbs and a pusher axle rating of 9,880 lbs. Bendix ADB22X air disc brakes are fitted front and rear on PHP10 iron Preset+ hubs, with severe-service disc brake rotors on the drive axles. Safety systems include Bendix ESP electronic stability with automatic traction control, 6S6M anti-lock brakes with an ABS off-road switch, an ATC deactivation switch, tire pressure monitoring, an SBM valve and a pneumatic park brake. All axles use synthetic lubricant. The frame is 11-5/8" steel rails to 444" at 3/8" thickness, with a 10-3/4" x 3/8" full steel liner. The rails are zinc-coated and anti-corrosion treated, with aluminum crossmembers and heavy-duty iron front spring brackets. The end of frame is square and has two Holland TH-10050 tow hooks. Up front is a chromed, deep-tapered steel bumper with two tow points and a heavy-duty external tow eye. Maximum grade rating is 6%. The air system uses dual Bendix AD-IS air dryers with an EverFlow switching module and coalescing filters, steel painted air tanks with pull cords, nylon chassis hose, and body connections at 5' back of cab. A polished 26" aluminum 110-gallon fuel tank is mounted under the cab on the left, with a polished non-slip step and polished straps. A 14-gallon DEF tank with a polished stainless cover sits on the left side back of cab. A polished aluminum battery box above the rails back of cab has a rubber battery pad, and there is an aluminum non-slip cab entry step on the right side under the cab. Suspension The front axle rides on 20,000 lb taper leaf springs with Tenneco shocks, greasable spring pins and 80 mm spacer blocks. At the rear is a Hendrickson HMX EX 460 HAULMAAX suspension rated at 46,000 lbs, with a 54" spread, a 70K creep rating, a 16.5" saddle height and shock absorbers. The cab is on air suspension. Cab & Interior This is a vocational 115" BBC aluminum day cab with a Metton hood, stainless steel crown and grille, and tilt assist. The Prestige interior is in Sterling Gray with black seats. The driver seat is a Peterbilt LX premium, air ride, high back in leather with a right-hand armrest. The passenger seat is a Peterbilt ST non-adjustable, non-air high back in vinyl with a left-hand armrest, and there is a toolbox under it. Controls include a multi-function steering wheel with audio and cruise controls on a tilt/telescoping column. Gauges and indicators run through a 15" digital cluster that shows transmission oil temperature, air filter restriction, engine percent torque and four pusher axle pressure readouts. The cluster is backed by 52 mm backlit gauges for front and rear drive axle oil temperature, engine oil temperature, fuel filter restriction, brake application and manifold pressure. Three extra dash switches are pre-wired. For comfort and convenience there are Peterbilt keyless entry, power door locks and windows, a combination fresh-air heater/AC, a thermal insulation package, vanity mirrors in the sun visors, a deep rear-wall record/map pocket and intermittent electric wipers. Audio and communication include a ConcertClass AM/FM/WB radio with 3.5 aux input, a four-speaker midlevel package, Bluetooth phone and audio, and a USB port. There is also a header-mounted Cobra 29 CB with a left cowl antenna. Connectivity includes global telematics hardware and a 5-year SmartLINQ remote diagnostics/OTA subscription. The exterior has a one-piece curved windshield, a fixed one-piece rear window and dark window tint. It also has a stainless outside sunvisor, bright-finish motorized and heated aero mirrors with integrated convex lenses, a look-down mirror over the passenger door, and two 23" round roof-mounted air horns. Other exterior features include a textured NFPA-compliant entry grab handle, 4.5" rubber fender lips and a removable bugscreen. A 12" full-width 10-gauge cab shield has a 6" face and a tarp deflector. The 60" tailgate is 3/16" AR-450 with two horizontally braced panels. It is overslung with an air-operated hi-lift, with the cylinders in the rear posts behind access panels, and it has air controls, chains, a center coal door and salt locks on each side. Hydraulics include a pin-to-pin telescopic hoist, a Hotshift PTO for the Allison automatic, and a direct-mount pump with a shifter valve and feathering valve air control. A control tower between the seats runs the body, strobes and tarp. The pump kickout switch is at the rear, and a 35-gallon aluminum upright hydraulic tank sits behind the cab. The 3-line system has shutoff valves, and the dash has PTO-engaged and body-up indicator lights. Tarping is an Aero electric arm flip tarp system with asphalt material and a wind screen in front of the cab shield. Body lighting is an LED package.
