Bandit Industries manufactures stump mulchers, horizontal and stump grinders, wood chippers, and other equipment used in the tree care and forestry industries.
Read More (About Bandit Industries)The Bandit Industries story began in 1983 when owner Mike Morey Sr. built the first Brush Bandit chipper with the help of six employees in a small warehouse in Michigan.
In the early 1990s, the company introduced the first track chipper and, a few years later, The Beast—a horizontal grinder that became a favorite for processing waste wood, plastic, roofing shingles, and other materials.
Since then, Bandit has gone on to produce a line of stump grinders, track carriers with interchangeable forestry mower and stump grinding heads, skid-steer attachments for land clearing, and more.
Bandit offers a wide range of tree care and forestry products. The company made its name with hand-fed wood shredders with features like the Slide Box Feed System and Power Slot but also offers stump grinders in a range of sizes, skid-steer attachments, whole-tree chippers, track carriers, trommel screens, and The Beast horizontal grinders.
Among Bandit’s best-known products, The Beast has a cuttermill ranging from 36 to 60 inches (91 to 152 centimeters) in diameter that turns downward, enabling it to produce high-quality mulch.
The Bandit 2550 is a midsize stump grinder available in diesel and gas versions. Each has a 49-horsepower (36.5-kilowatt) engine and four-wheel drive to traverse any terrain. The front tires have dual wheels for added stability and flotation. A hydraulic motor drives the cutter wheel. An optional Super Sweep can be added to prevent unseasoned grinders from performing a cut that is too large and stalling the engine by automatically moving the cutter wheel away when the engine reaches the preset low rpm.
The midsize Bandit 200XP wood chipper is available in towable, track, and PTO versions with gas or diesel fuel options; it has a 12-in. (30.5-cm) disc and a hydraulic dual-feed wheel system with roughly 3,376 pounds of pulling power. The larger Intimidator 21XP can pull in and handle whole large trees but is still compact enough to haul and maneuver around jobsites easily. The 21XP is available for disc or drum operation.
