    About New Holland

New Holland is one of the most recognizable names in the agricultural, construction, and forestry equipment segments. Founded in 1895, the company has more than 125 years of experience developing and manufacturing a wide variety of equipment, implements, attachments, and technologies sold around the world. New Holland Agriculture and New Holland Construction are both owned by CNH Industrial, and together the brands make everything from lower-horsepower farm tractors like Workmasters and Boomers to C200 Series compact track loaders and L Series skid steers for construction, tree clearing, mulching, and other applications.

    New Holland’s Long History

Today, New Holland products are now used in dozens of countries worldwide, but the company’s origins were much humbler. The company began as a one-man repair shop founded by Abe Zimmerman in 1895 in New Holland, Pennsylvania. U.S. operations remain there, but New Holland’s global headquarters now reside in Turin, Italy. Over the decades, New Holland transitioned through several ownership changes, involving such companies as Sperry, Claeys, Ford, and Fiat before coming under the ownership of CNH Industrial. CNH also owns the Case IH and CASE Construction, STEYR, IVECO, and FPT Industrial equipment and engine brands.

    New Holland Up Close

Among the most popular New Holland machines listed on TreeTrader.com are the Workmaster 25S tractor and L218, L228, and L230 skids steers. You’ll also commonly find C232 and C238 track skid steers for sale, as well. The diminutive Workmaster 25S is a four-wheel-drive model offering 12 x 12 and three-range hydrostatic/dual-pedal transmission options paired with a 24.7-horsepower (18-kilowatt) three-cylinder engine and support for a front loader and numerous attachments. The skid steers are part of New Holland Construction’s 200 Series, and feature wide cabs, engine options above and below 50 HP, and use of the patented New Holland Super boom vertical lift linkage. The track skid steers also include Super Boom, which New Holland says helps provide some of the best breakout forces and dump heights in the industry. New Holland builds loaders for landscaping, nursery, and other applications where low-ground pressure and support for varying terrains are key.
