Cat Clears The Land

Cat’s skid steers and compact track loaders are suitable for construction site clearing, forestry and agricultural applications, and highway side slope and right-of-way maintenance. Models equipped with drum mulcher attachments, for example, can clear away small trees and brush. If working on soft-ground around wetlands or following inclement weather, for example, Cat offers a wide selection of compact track loaders that produce low ground pressure. To support their high-power attachments, many of Cat’s wheel and track skid steers feature a powerful hydrostatic transmission. Cat mulcher attachments can also be fitted to some dozers and forestry machines.

Cat Log Loaders

Cat’s forest machines include a selection of log loaders. More recent models boast an optimized swing torque (when compared with Cat’s general forestry equipment) for additional power to move trees and support heavy bundles when loading or unloading. Cat’s log loaders also feature a counterweight fuel tank, which provides extended operation time and stability. Newer models feature more fuel-efficient engines to further improve productivity. Cat offers its log loaders in work-specific boom arrangements and hydraulic systems to fit road building, processing, shoveling, or yard stacking applications. Cat’s log loaders are also available with wheels or tracks, or built onto trailers to suit differing transportation needs.
