Types Of Grapple Trucks

There are several options to consider when weighing the purchase of a grapple truck for your operation, each with its own pluses and minuses:

• Loader and body - In this model, the grapple arm is connected to a dump truck, and the operator can move collected waste directly into the truck’s dump body using the crane.
• Roll-off - This truck’s arm is situated between the cab and a roll-off waste container. Once the bin is full, the operator can drop it off, replace it with an empty bin, and continue working.
• Rear-steer - This truck's control station is placed between its cab and the grapple arm, allowing the operator to see the crane while loading the collection bin at the rear of the chassis. 
• Rear-mounted grappling arm, no collection bin - This truck only has the arm that collects waste and deposits it into another truck as they move through the work site. 
• Rear-mounted grappling arm with a connected trailer - Similar in structure to the previous type of grapple truck, but with a connected trailer that obviates the need for a second truck.
