Genie TZ-50 Trailer Mounted Boom Lift

Genie’s S and SX Series represent its telescopic boom lifts, many of which are appropriate for outdoor use, including on rough terrain. Their maximum working heights range from 39.5 to a remarkable 186 feet (12 to 56.9 meters), while their maximum horizontal reach is 29 to 90 ft (8.8 to 27.4 m), depending on the model. Genie S and SX Series lifts have platform capacities ranging from 500 to 750 pounds (227 to 340 kilograms) unrestricted and 1,000 lbs (454 kg) restricted. Certain models are high float (HF) units with broad tires designed to avoid damaging soft surfaces such as turf or sand. Xtra Capacity (XC) models allow up to three workers onboard, along with their tools and building materials.

The Z Series denotes Genie’s line of articulating boom lifts. Besides Xtra Capacity (XC) models, the Z family includes direct current (DC) fully electric lifts as well as bi-energy DC electric machines that include a diesel-powered generator/battery charger. There are also fuel-electric hybrid (FE) models and lifts with narrow (N) bodies. Maximum working heights for Z Series articulated lifts range from 35 to 141 ft (10.7 to 43.2 m). Various models have a horizontal reach of approximately 18 to 70 ft (5.6 to 21.3 m). The lifts’ platform capacities are 440 to 660 lbs (200 to 300 kg) unrestricted and 1,000 pounds (454 kg) restricted, depending on the model.

Finally, Genie’s trailer-mounted boom lifts (aka pull-type or tow-behind lifts) fall into the TZ Series. These towable, articulating units feature maximum working heights of 40 to 55.5 ft (12.4 to 17.1 m), horizontal reach abilities of 18.3 to 29.1 ft (5.6 to 8.9 m), and platform capacities of 500 lbs (227 kg).
