New Holland’s Long History

Today, New Holland products are now used in dozens of countries worldwide, but the company’s origins were much humbler. The company began as a one-man repair shop founded by Abe Zimmerman in 1895 in New Holland, Pennsylvania. U.S. operations remain there, but New Holland’s global headquarters now reside in Turin, Italy. Over the decades, New Holland transitioned through several ownership changes, involving such companies as Sperry, Claeys, Ford, and Fiat before coming under the ownership of CNH Industrial. CNH also owns the Case IH and CASE Construction, STEYR, IVECO, and FPT Industrial equipment and engine brands.

The track skid steers also include Super Boom, which New Holland says helps provide some of the best breakout forces and dump heights in the industry. New Holland builds loaders for landscaping, nursery, and other applications where low-ground pressure and support for varying terrains are key.
