Self-Propelled vs. Towable Wood Chippers

Wood chippers are available in self-propelled and towable units, which differ in several key ways:

Self-propelled wood chippers move independently, traveling on tracks or wheels. Tracked models like the Först TR8 are adept at working on uneven or otherwise difficult terrain, while chippers on wheels like the Först ST6 are best for firm, relatively flat areas due to their greater speed and maneuverability.
