INSURANCE SALVAGE Year: 2024 Make: CATERPILLAR Type: Inverter Cabinet CAT Part No.: 561-1752 Cabinet Type: 40310334 S/N: 1M16L384XXX Origin: USA Application: CAT 794 AC/796 AC/798 AC OFF HIGHWAY TRUCK Inverter Cabinet Location: Chile, South America (Inverter cabinet only included, serial plate will be removed) The new and unused inverter cabinet, is part of the superstructure of a new CAT 798 AC Mining Truck which was being transported from the US to final destination in South America, where it currently lies in Chile. During inland road transit in the US the inverter cabinet sustained impact damage en route to the port for export. It is thought that the damage occurred when the trailer and cargo assembly, exceeding clearance height, passed under a bridge or level crossing. The main focus of the damage appears to be at the top right of the cabinet, with open sectors losing the airtightness of the elements, with rust visible in this area.
